Kelvin is currently the Director Business Development – Health and has been with UniServices since 2008 in various roles. He currently leads the company and University of Auckland’s strategy on international public good initiatives across the health domains. His team is also responsible for the global commercial engagement strategy for UniServices and the University of Auckland.
Kelvin has extensive international business experience across a number of sectors including biotech, pharma and nutrition. Before returning to New Zealand, he served as the Deputy Director of the Asian Food Information Council (AFIC) and Executive Director of the Malaysian Biotechnology Information Centre (MABIC). In both roles, he engaged extensively with heads of states, leaders of international foundations and United Nations agencies such as WHO and UNICEF. Kelvin, who started his career in R&D focusing on protein engineering, also co-founded and successfully exited a biotech company and has worked extensively across Asia, Europe and the Americas. Kelvin has a first class Honours degree in Biotechnology and a Master degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Auckland, New Zealand.
